User Registration

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

We receive a large number of emails about registration, and this creates a significant burden in administrative terms.

Please don't email us if:

• you tried to register with a non-academic email address (i.e. with an address that doesn't contain ".ac" or ".edu")
• it has been less than three working days since you registered

Please use an academic email address to register.

Academic email addresses contain ".ac" or ".edu".

The following are NOT academic email addresses:

• 163.com
• qq.com
• outlook.com
• gmail.com
• …etc.

Registrations from non-academic email addresses - like those listed above - will be classified as commercial enquiries and rejected.

All registrations have to be manually approved.

The registration process is partially automated, but registrations still have to be approved by a human being.

Please do not email the team to say:

I've registered but I can't login

…or:

I've reset my password but it still doesn't work

…if your account hasn't been authorised yet; you won't be able to login if a human being hasn't approved your registration.

This means if you register outside normal (UK) working hours, e.g.:

• in the evening
• at the weekend
• during a public holiday

…then there will be a delay before your account is authorised.

If you registered with an academic email address and you haven't received a response within three working days, please contact the RobotCar Dataset Team via robotcardataset@robots.ox.ac.uk.
